Mission subsistence allowance
Mission subsistence allowance (MSA) is a daily allowance payable by the United Nations to cover long-term living costs for accommodation, meals and miscellaneous expenses incurred within a mission area by eligible non-staff personnel during their tour of duty in a field mission, including a peacekeeping operation, special political mission or other field mission.
