On 1 January 2019, the Secretary‑General introduced a revised framework for delegation of authority emphasizing transparency, accountability and decision-making that is closer to the point of mandate and programme delivery. The new framework—a key pillar in his vision for a new management paradigm—is outlined in Secretary‑General’s Bulletin 2019/2.
